Metachat allows you to build and join online communities (the “Services”).
The Information We Collect
Metachat does not require any information to view its content. To participate in a community or to create a community you are required to register with a username (display name), password and email. Optionally, Metachat collects information such as your public profile information (avatar, bio, etc.). Metachat collects the information necessary to provide its services such as: all conversations and links to conversations and content within conversations, favorites, badges or statuses, etc.
In addition we may gather statistics about the above and collect information about your use of Metachat such as data about your device, software, and the operating system you use when accessing our service.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal information to keep Metachat running, understand how you use our service, customize your experience, prevent abuse, provide customer support and improve Metachat. We use your information internally only as necessary to accomplish these goals.
Metachat never sells your information or shares it with third-parties other than to provide its service.
View / Delete Your data
You can view and permanently delete your personal information through the website or app or by sending an email to email@example.com.
We may disclose aggregate, non-identifying information about how our users use Metachat.
We may disclose your information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process. If we are going to release your information, our policy is to provide you with notice unless we are prohibited from doing so by law. We may disclose your information without giving you prior notice if we believe it’s necessary to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person.
If all or part of Metachat is sold, merged, or otherwise transferred to another company in the future, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
If you would prefer not to accept cookies or otherwise wish to disable our use of tracking technologies, most browsers and mobile devices allow you to change your settings so as to notify you when you receive cookies or other tracking technologies are being used, and to choose whether or not to accept/allow it.
